Tendo os olhos fitos em Jesus, autor e consumador da nossa fé.

‎"Portanto, também nós, uma vez que estamos rodeados por tão grande nuvem de testemunhas, livremo-nos de tudo o que nos atrapalha e do pecado que nos envolve, e corramos com perseverança a corrida que nos é proposta, tendo os olhos fitos em Jesus, autor e consumador da nossa fé. Ele, pela alegria que lhe fora proposta, suportou a cruz, desprezando a vergonha, e assentou-se à direita do trono de Deus. Pensem bem naquele que suportou tal oposição dos pecadores contra si mesmo, para que vocês não se cansem nem se desanimem. Na luta contra o pecado, vocês ainda não resistiram até o ponto de derramar o próprio sangue. Vocês se esqueceram da palavra de ânimo que Ele lhes dirige como a filhos: 'Meu filho, não despreze a disciplina do Senhor, nem se magoe com a sua repreensão, pois o Senhor disciplina a quem ama, e castiga todo aquele a quem aceita como filho'". Hb 12:1-6

Protož i my, takový oblak svědků vůkol majíce, odvrhouce všeliké břímě, i snadně obkličující nás hřích, skrze trpělivost konejme běh uloženého nám boje, patříce na vůdce a dokonavatele víry Ježíše, kterýžto místo předložené sobě radosti strpěl kříž, opováživ se hanby, i posadil se na pravici trůnu Božího. A považte, kteraký jest ten, jenž snášel od hříšníků taková proti sobě odmlouvání, abyste neustávali, v myslech vašich hynouce. Ještě jste se až do krve nezprotivili, proti hříchu bojujíce. A což jste zapomenuli na napomenutí, kteréž k vám jako k synům mluví:Synu můj, nepohrdej kázní Páně, aniž sobě stýskej, když od něho trestán býváš? Nebo kohož miluje Pán, tohoť tresce, a švihá každého, kteréhož za syna přijímá. Hebreus 12:1-6

Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of [our] faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that hath endured such gainsaying of sinners against himself, that ye wax not weary, fainting in your souls. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin: and ye have forgotten the exhortation which reasoneth with you as with sons, My son, regard not lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when thou art reproved of him; for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, And scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Hebreus 12:1-6
